WHAT WILL YOU LEARN AT THE AKA KETTLEBELL SEMINAR?
The AMERICAN KETTLEBELL ASSOCIATION Certification Program features:
- 8 hours of comprehensive instruction in one weekend.
- Individualized instruction from Joao Neto & the AKA certified team. We take only small groups so you learn directly from the experts through extensive face-time.
- Thorough coverage of all the screening and teaching techniques used and developed by Joao Neto in 20+ years training clients & strength athletes and 5+ years as a kettlebell instructor.
- Training in all the basic and intermediate kettlebell exercises including common technique flaws and methods for correcting those flaws. Some advanced material/exercises will be covered, as time permits.
- A systematized approach to training all types of clients, with an emphasis on safety and steady progression toward individual goals.
- A complete color training manual will be given to each trainer at the beginning of the course to make notes and take home with you for future reference of everything you have learned.

My name is Aida Salas and I am 38 years old. I am a certified personal trainer in Deerfield Beach, Florida. Before my experience with Russian Kettlebells, I use to train my clients with traditional weights, machines & cardio equipment. Then, a friend introduced me to Russian Kettlebell training in 2007 and to Joao & Heidi Neto, Owners of American Kettlebell Association in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I contacted them and was certified through their Level 1 - Instructor Certification seminar in July 2007. It was an amazing course! The seminar taught me everything I needed to know in order to revamp my "own" body as well as my Personal Training business. Soon after the course, I felt confident enough to train my clients how to "properly" use Russian Kettlebells and have been very successful as a result of it.
Joao & the Instructors at AKA offered an amazing course and worked one on one with us to really show us how to use and train clients with kettlebells. Since getting certified through the "American Kettlebell Association", I have learned & grown so much both personally & professionally. Currently, I am able to Clean & Press 24K (4 reps each arm - single handed), Swing and High Pull and Center Press 32K (20-25 reps - double handed) and am able complete at least 4-6 reps of (double handed) Manmaker's using two 40lb. KB's. I was "never" able to press as much weight before I started training with Russian
The success of my clients is tremendous! One of my clients lost 31 lbs in 12 (30 min) sessions... training just 2 times per week! I'm a professional basketball player and have trained and played sports practically my whole life. In October 2009, I was introduced to Joao Neto, American Kettlebell Association and Kettlebell Training. After an injury and not being able to play on my team for 3 months, I was not in as good of shape as I had always been and a little skeptical to try kettlebells. I had briefly tried training with kettlebells in the past but due to improper movements, I always felt strain in my lower back. I was a bit skeptical to try again, but I trusted Joao and the people at American Kettlbell Association and decided to give it a try because I saw so many clients there getting great results and having fun with them.
Joao taught me the right way to train with kettlebells and I love it! My conditioning came back right away and it seemed like like I didn't miss a beat. Kettlebell training has been great for my body in so many ways. I'm a professional basketball player and
so I need to cater my exercises to best promote my endurance and skill of the game. The way kettlebell training has
helped me the most is that it really taught me how to be in complete control of
my body while doing various exercises and at the same time getting the most out
of the muscle groups being trained.
The first time I tried it, I was in awe of how many different exercises could be performed with one piece of equipment! I am a
6'10 athlete and it has helped me to become more flexible and explosive, while
preventing injury therefore I can say it has been very beneficial for me.
I believe Kettlebells are the best way to train no matter the age, gender, body
type or goals. I'm blessed to have Joao Neto, owner of American Kettlebell Association
as my personal trainer because without him I would have probably never tried this type of
exercise. I've had trainers all over the world and
